the displacement of the spectrum to shorter wavelengths in the light coming from distant celestial objects moving toward the observer.
Laden Osman and Matthew Olzmann have helped us pick out the following pieces from the multitude submitted to us for our second inaugural Blueshift Prizes writers of color.

This space acts as an amplifier to marginalized voices, voices that must scream louder and louder to be heard in my country. After the KKK and fascist groups marching this summer, I hope for more deliberate spaces like this to be created where voices need not be strained.
​
The authors in this collection have shared with us their souls, have made themselves vulnerable. They reach out a great distance to bring us to their worlds, and it is our duty to bridge the tiniest gap, reaching out to their extended hands, achieving meaning.
