Claire Carroll is a member of Yale's class of 2018, and is from New York. She was an editor for the National High School Journal of Science, and has served as an intern at The Putnam County News & Recorder, her town’s local paper. She has been published inThe Lake, Transcendence, and numerous publications at Phillips Academy, her old high school. Claire has received Gold and Silver keys from The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. She worked for NASA once and likes to squint at stars without her glasses. She uses blowtorches rather excessively on creme brulees.
